Oracle Says AI Agent Memory 26.8 Stores Images, Omits Bytes by Default
Summary
Oracle says its AI Agent Memory 26.8 stores images as DOCUMENT records in Oracle AI Database, so agents can search screenshots and receipts through text descriptions or captions. Default reads omit raw bytes; applications call include_bytes=True to render or forward the original image.
Key Points
- Oracle says a user message retains ordered text and image parts, keeping visual evidence tied to its turn.
- The oracleagentmemory package checks images before persistence, applying configurable limits during ingestion.
- Daniela Pavlenco writes that image search matches captions or descriptions rather than raw pixels.
