Perplexity Launches Teammates for Max Subscribers on Web to Own Ongoing Work
Summary
Perplexity launches Teammates, persistent AI agents that take on ongoing work such as on-call shifts and ad campaigns, for Max subscribers on the web. Each teammate keeps one thread, carries over projects, skills and memory from Computer, and pages the user only when a decision is needed. Teammates run on the Max plan's monthly credit allotment, with a promotional free usage period.
Key Points
- Perplexity says Teammates come to iOS and Android after the web release.
- Each teammate gets its own desktop and browser, Perplexity says, with independent cookies and browsing sessions.
- Perplexity says teammates coordinate with each other and follow up with coworkers in Slack.
