Mistral releases Voxtral 3, a family of speech-to-text and text-to-speech models plus a voice agent SDK, claiming state-of-the-art multilingual transcription across 50 or more languages. The company prices Voxtral Mini Transcribe 3 at $0.0035 per minute in batch and Voxtral Mini TTS 3 at $13 per million characters. It runs on Mistral's EU-hosted API or on customer infrastructure.
Facebook Research's AudioCraft library ships MusicGen, AudioGen, EnCodec, and the JASCO text-to-music model, which conditions on chords, melodies, and drums. The code runs on Python 3.9 and PyTorch 2.1.0 and carries an MIT license, while model weights fall under CC-BY-NC 4.0. The repository lists 23.7k stars.
Apple launched HomeView, its first smart home display, on Tuesday, priced at $299 for both the speaker-base and wall-mounted versions. The 7-inch screen recognizes up to six users, and Siri, powered by Apple Intelligence, personalizes replies from Messages, Calendar, and FaceTime. Siri can also chain multistep requests.

Noiz AI and HKUST release Helix World, an interactive world model that generates video and stereo sound together from a single image, steered with WASD and arrow keys. Apple tells the European Commission it will offer jobs to certain Huxe AI employees and take a non-exclusive license to the startup's intellectual property, a reverse acqui-hire disclosed June 9. Huxe, founded by former NotebookLM podcast developers, shut down May 21 and said it would delete user data. Apple did not say who got offers or its plans.

Pew Research Center reports 35% of U.S. adults have a smart speaker that uses AI, the most common of four smart home devices it asked about. Smart doorbells are at 18%, robot vacuums at 13% and smart thermostats at 11%. The survey of U.S. adults ran Feb. 17-23, 2026.
