Kimi releases K3.1 Pro, a 3T-class open-weight model with a 1-million-token context window, on Kimi.ai, Kimi Work, Kimi Code and the Kimi API. The company says it scores 65.7% on Terminal-Bench 4.0, ahead of GPT-6 Astra at 58.2%. A Highspeed variant runs 2-3× faster. Weights are due by Nov 4.
Mem0 says its new memory algorithm, released in April 2026, scores 92.5 on LoCoMo, up from 71.4, and 94.4 on LongMemEval. The algorithm uses single-pass ADD-only extraction, one LLM call with no UPDATE or DELETE. Mem0 notes the scores come from its managed platform, and open-source users should expect similar but not identical gains.
Simon Edwardsson demonstrates WorldTUI, a 360M-parameter model that simulates a terminal with no shell or filesystem, predicting screen updates from each keypress. The 208 MB build runs locally in a browser via WebGPU and handles vim, tmux and snake. Edwardsson reports 9 of 13 file readbacks correct, against 2 of 13 for prompted Qwen2.5-Coder-0.5B.
Anthropic says its updated Claude Security, in public beta for Claude Enterprise customers, now rescans repositories as code changes and marks findings fixed when fixes ship. The tool adds an API, an MCP connector, and role-based access controls. Anthropic offers $25,000 in monthly usage credits for two months, through Dec. 31, 2026.
Ant Group and the vLLM community open-source Humming, a kernel library for quantized inference that supports NVIDIA GPUs from Turing onward and T-Head's Zhenwu 810E. Kernels compile just in time from shared CUDA components. The groups claim switching DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash MoE execution to Humming's W4A8 path on eight H20 GPUs raises throughput 14% to 43%.
Claude Mods are plugins that run code inside Claude Code and change how the harness shows an agent's work to its operator, Dan McAteer reports in Latent Space. Anthropic ships six built-in mods, including you-should-know, an off-by-default side agent that flags missed details. McAteer says mods run unsandboxed with user permissions, and one check costs about 5,000 to 6,000 tokens.
Peter Steinberger, OpenClaw's creator and an OpenAI staff member, says he spent roughly $10 million on tokens last month, money he says comes from investors. He said it at Cloudflare Connect 2026 in San Francisco. Cloudflare CTO Dane Knecht noted few developers have such a budget.

OpenAI's openai-cli repository releases version 1.40.2 with local command search and prompt insertion, letting users press Ctrl+X then Tab to find suggestions without running them. The Go-based tool defaults image saves to gpt-image-2.5-sunburst and writes files to ~/Downloads/gpt-images/. It installs through Homebrew or Go 1.26 or later.
EAGLE-4 publishes inference code and eagle-harness, which adds its speculative decoding to SGLang, vLLM and TokenSpeed. The EAGLE-4 Team claims up to 3.42x faster generation on Qwen3.8-27B with four B300 GPUs. The source-available license permits commercial use below $20 million in aggregate revenue.
